Charles Krauthammer wrote earlier this month in the Washington Post:
Why are we collectively nervous about terrorism as the election approaches? Because, as everyone knows, there are terrorists out there who would dearly love to hit us before the election.
Nonsense.
Even Krauthammer’s newspaper, the Washington Post ( http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=1&click_id=3 ... ), reports there is “no specific, hard evidence of an election-related terrorist plot” and “law enforcement officials say they have been unable to detect signs of an ongoing plot in the United States, nor have they identified specific targets, dates or methods that might be used in one.”
Krauthammer, like his Straussian neocon brethren, can’t stop telling lies—he’s addicted to scaring the pants off simple folk, that is to say the American people, who so easily buy into this sort of Freddy Kruger balderdash predicated on lies, one stacked on another, a huge and stinking pile of vile fabrications accumulating in plain sight since George Bush took office—or was appointed to office, anyway.
We know the terrorists’ intent and strategy. We saw it on display in Spain, where a spectacular terrorist attack three days before the national election set off the chain of events that brought down a government that had allied itself with the United States. The attack worked perfectly. Within weeks Spain had withdrawn its troops from Iraq.
Naturally, as a red-blooded Zionist American shill, Charles Krauthammer would never read the foreign press. For instance, the BBC. Back in April, a month after the Madrid train bombings, the BBC ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/3670627.st ... )reported something rather fishy. “The Spanish interior ministry says it is investigating reports that two suspects in the 11 March Madrid train bombings were police informants. The move came after Spain’s El Mundo newspaper said Moroccan Rafa Zuher and Spaniard Jose Emilio Suarez had been in contact with police before the attacks.” Zuher and Suarez were suspected of providing dynamite for the attack—although you wouldn’t read that on the front page of the Washington Post or in one of Krauthammer’s columns.
Is it possible the “intent and strategy” of the terrorist attack was devised by somebody in Jose Maria Aznar’s government? Anzar once declared himself to be an “independent Falangist,” in other words a fascist. Spain’s intelligence community is riddled with fascists, not surprising since the Intelligence Service of the Civil Guard ( http://reference.allrefer.com/country-guide-study/ ... ) acted as Franco’s personal Gestapo. Fascists don’t kill innocent civilians, only Muslims do, as Krauthammer and the Straussians tell us ad nauseam.
Last month, terrorists set off a car bomb outside the Australian Embassy in Jakarta, Indonesia, in the middle of a neck-and-neck Australian election campaign and just three days before the only televised debate between the two candidates.
Jemaah Islamiah, an Indonesian Islamic group said to be an al-Qaeda franchise, is allegedly behind the Australian embassy bombing. Jemaah Islamiah is also blamed for the 2002 bomb attacks in Bali that killed 202 people and the car bombing of Jakarta’s Marriott hotel last year that killed 12 people.
But wait a minute.
According to investigators, the military explosive C4 was used in the Bali attack. Even more suspicious is the fact that in 2000 two members of the Indonesian army special forces, or Kopassus (trained by US Special Forces and the CIA), received jail terms for a huge car-bomb blast in the underground car garage of the Jakarta Stock Exchange. As Hamish McDonald ( http://www.zmag.org/content/showarticle.cfm?Sectio ... ) wrote in 2002, “the Machiavellian use of former Darul Islam fanatics by the intelligence chief Ali Murtopo during ex-president Soeharto’s New Order, leading to acts of terror—such as the 1980 hijacking of a Garuda Airlines jet … were used to justify political crackdowns.” As well, Omar al-Faruq, supposedly high up in the al-Qaeda pecking order, arrested on June 8, 2002, and handed over to U.S. officials by the Indonesian police, was a CIA-recruited agent, according to former Indonesian State Intelligence Coordinating Board chief A.C. Manulang
( http://www.thedossier.ukonline.co.uk/Web%20Pages/T ... ). “Anti-Islam intelligence agencies committed the bombings in Indonesia. They have been trained for this and they are very organized,” Manulang told Tempo Interactive last month.
But then I bet Charlie Krauthammer doesn’t read the Indonesian press. And even if he did, such troublesome details—buried on the back pages of the corporate press, if even reported at all in America—would be conveniently discarded because they don’t fit in Krauthammer’s Straussian neocon worldview, that is to say terrorism is a product of the Islamic mentality, not U.S.-supported states such as Indonesia, responsible for acts of terrorism against the people of East Timor (with the eager complicity of that veteran war criminal, Henry Kissinger), resulting in the murder of 200,000 people. Before this, in the mid-60s, the CIA offered its services to the government of Indonesia as it went about killing between 250,000 and 1,000,000 people ( http://www.thirdworldtraveler.com/CIA/McGehee_CIA_ ... ), chalked up as commies deserving torture and death.
Charlie loves to wave around cardboard cut-out Freddy Krugers in the hope Americans, so easily frightened and effortlessly bamboozled, will vote for Bush over Bush Lite, John Kerry, who has also indicated his willingness to kill lots of innocent people in Iraq (and elsewhere, mostly Arab countries, where we all know terrorists seek refuge and sustenance because, well, Arabs are terrorists by nature, as Straussian neocons such as Krauthammer and Daniel Pipes ( http://www.informationtimes.com/newsviews/views01. ... ) keep telling us, even as they go about misrepresenting or omitting crucial facts.
It is still prudent to be on high alert at home, because it is not wise to bank on the political sophistication of the enemy. The enemy is nonetheless far more likely to understand that the way to bring down Bush is not by attack at home but by debilitating guerrilla war abroad, namely in Iraq. Hence the escalation of bloodshed by Zarqawi and Co. It is not just aimed at intimidating Iraqis and preventing the Iraqi election. It is aimed at demoralizing Americans and affecting the American election.
Krauthammer, eagerly fulfilling his role as a Straussian neocon snake oil salesman, does not bother to mention the U.S. military has concluded that the Abu Musab al-Zarqawi terrorist network is a myth resulting “from faulty intelligence obtained by the payment of substantial sums of money to unreliable and dishonest sources,” as the UK Telegraph reported earlier this month ( http://www.uruknet.info/?colonna=m&p=6102&l=x&size ... ). “The faulty intelligence was accepted, however, because it suited US government political goals, according to an unnamed intelligence officer.”
Likewise “political goals” are at work in Charlie Krauthammer’s feverish brain. The Iraqi resistance is about ejecting the United States from Iraq—not “demoralizing Americans and affecting the American election,” as Charlie and his Straussian neocon co-conspirators would have us believe as they lead us up their ideological cul-de-sac in the hope we will vote for Bush on November 2. Iraqis who understand American politics have likely concluded, however, be it Bush or Kerry, the occupation will not only continue but get worse as the Pentagon strives to Fallujaize the country after the election.
The Islamists and Baathists in Iraq are conducting their own Tet Offensive with the same objective as the one in 1968: to demoralize the American citizenry, convince it that the war cannot be won, and ultimately encourage it to reject the administration that brought the war upon them and that is the more unequivocal about seeing it through.
Poor Krauthammer—history is stacked against him like a Las Vegas blackjack deck. The Iraqi resistance will prevail and eventually run the Americans out of Iraq as the Vietnamese eventually ran them out of their country more than a quarter of a century ago. Charlie and the Straussian neocons will soon face their own Operation Frequent Wind ( http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/ops/frequen ... ), the desperate helicopter evacuation of 7000 Americans and South Vietnamese from Saigon on April 29, 1975. Krauthammer may not wish to face the music, but even the Pentagon
( http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A112 ... )is now searching for an “exit strategy” in Iraq, albeit many months too late.
It’s good to know history will dance on the heads of the Straussian neocons and Charles Krauthammer. Unfortunately, between now and then, more Iraqis (and possibly Iranians and Syrians) will suffer “unequivocal” deaths at the hands of the Bushcons and their ideological taskmasters, the scheming Likudites in Israel.
Krauthammer is our Hans Fritsche, who was head of the Nazi Press Section in Germany, and deputy to Joseph Goebbels, who railed against “Bolshevik terror” in much the same way the Straussian neocons ceaselessly rave about “Islamic terror.”
Fritsche was acquitted of all charges at Nuremberg.
In the aftermath of the invasion and occupation of Iraq—when it is hopefully and generally accepted Bush and the neocons tricked the nation into committing egregious war crimes—Krauthammer will likely be allowed to continue to pen his destructive diatribes, although we can only hope most people will see him for what he is: a PNAC warmonger and unconvicted criminal guilty of talking America into a committing unspeakable crimes against humanity.
