Mike Santos, 21, and Olyn Santos, 18, are charged in the slaying of their acquaintance Harry Gonzalez, WEWS-TV, Cleveland, reported Thursday.

The two face three charges of aggravated murder and could receive the death penalty.

Prosecutors said the two men stabbed and cut Gonzalez repeatedly in the July 28 incident. There is even evidence of them trying to sever a finger and arm before they plunged a knife twice into his brain, officials said.

"This is -- to put it mildly -- a heinous murder," said assistant prosecutor Blaise Thomas. He said the coroner said there were 70 stab or cut injuries on the victim.

The incident occurred after the victim invited the two to play video games.
