- We have one last chance to help defend Palestinian activist Amer Jubran
- against the U.S. government's attempt to silence him through political
- arrest, detention, and now an attempted deportation through proceedings on July 24th. Just this week, federal agents harrassed and interrogated Mr.Jubran's ex-wife and her family in a last-ditch effort to silence those who will testify on his behalf on July 24th. Amer's only "crime" has been to exercise his right to freedom of speech and to express support for palestine in the new age of the Patriot Act. The attack on Amer Jubran is an attack on us all!

- Despite eight months of letters, faxes, phone calls, and office visits protesting these proceedings against Amer Jubran, the INS (now, Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement) is still trying to execute the deportation. We need all those concerned about civil liberties to gather at the JFK Federal Building on the final trial date -- July 24 -- to send a message to the Department of Homeland Security that activists in Boston will not be silenced. We need to demonstrate to Tom Ridge in Washington and the Office of Detention/Removals in Boston that political repression in Boston won't go unchallenged.
